For the final project, we were tasked with coming up with an idea that followed the "Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle" slogan. Also, each project had to use three of the machines that we learned about in class: The 3D-Printer, laser, vinyl, router, and mill. In my particular project, I used the 3D-Printer, laser, as well as the vinyl decal machine.
For my final project, I decided to make something practical that everyone should use whenever they're enjoying a nice ice-cold beverage. I made some coasters. In this project, I "Reduced, Reused, and Recycled" a card board box, which I got from my work at Little Caesar's Pizza. I used this card board, to laser cut a design around the border of it. Next, I modeled a 3.5 x 3.5 square, with a thickness of .2 inches. Which I would go on to 3D-Print. Lastly I cut out the Detroit Tigers, and the Detroit Lions logos to place on top of the coaster, to add some decorations to it. Overall the last step of the project was to connect the pieces of cardboard to the 3D-Printed material, which was ultimately done with glue.

Above are the images of the final coaster products. As displayed, they are 3.5 x 3.5 square bases, with the attached cardboard plates, and the finishing vinyl decal on top.
COnclusion
The final project was used to cultivate our ideas, with some of the processes we learned about, such as how to use the machines and the various programs to make these amazing projects like we had to do all semester. This project consisted of the usage of Adobe Illustrator, and Inventor, and the machines that were used, were the makerbot 3D printer, the laser, and the vinyl cutter. Also in this specific project, we had to follow one more guideline, which was: "Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle". Meaning, we had to include a recycled object somewhere within our projects. In mine, the recycled object was some cardboard that was used from a pizza box. While I am glad, as to how this project turned out, the one thing I wish I would've done differently, would've been to choose something more extravagant, and to work with a partner to get the project done sooner.
